15mm Field of Glory Carthaginians and Hill sets

New 15 mm Carthaginian figures and hill sets I've  been working on

I been busy making terrain and just finished a set of hills for my ever growing arsenal of war gaming stuff. I listed several hills below without figures and a few with some of my Carthaginians on them for a size comparison the figures are Essex, Xyston and Old Glory. The investment in my professional grade static grass applicator really has paid off  producing some really cool looking terrain and opening the door for many new projects to come.

The Carthaginian forces mass on the hill top awaiting the order to smash the Romans near Carrhae.

15mm Desert Terrain for Fields of Glory or Arab Israeli Wars

Been awhile but I just made up a set of desert terrain for all periods. First is a small compound suitable for an outpost or small village. It has several buildings and a small  low wall for defense.

I shot this under the blazing sun to give it the hot, dusty effect common in this climate. The next photograph is shot in shade to show off the detail more clearly.

My next set is of rough terrain used to represent rocky outcroppings which is bad going for vehicles, cavalry etc. Again I shot the terrain in hot light and shade to show the details.

Finally The Oasis of ever-flowing water said to be made from the tears of the Mighty Arff when he saw the were no more worlds to conquer. The water is clear colored resin with the edge of the Oasis containing some grass and wet sand alongside the edges. I used a technique to give the pool a sense of depth to the viewer. I again shot hot and shady to show off detail.

Last but not least, Palm trees these are really inexpensive and easily obtainable from local shops. It takes a little prep and ingenuity but one can make some passable palm trees in about 2 hours.

15mm Scenic Effects Eastern European village for Bolt Action

I been busy painting Platoons and vehicles for Bolt Action and have just started painting up more terrain to fight over. This line was an oldie but goodie made years ago by Rick Schuldt form his studio now sadly defunct but the molds were sold to Monday Night Productions who still offer a large portion of the old line. The fences are made of toothpicks and weather treated to get that old weather beaten affect that unprotected wood gets after years of the elements assailing them. The larger farmer being a political favorite has whitewashed his fence to maintain the status quo with his neighbors

15mm North Koreans and US infantry

I recently finished my Korean war summer troops and have posted couple pictures to show off. The North Koreans are Eureka miniatures with a mix of Viet Minh to portray the North Korean infantry in helmets which despite what some sources say and various plastic figure makers sell the North Koreans used several types of helmets (Russian pattern 1940,old German style helmets captured from the Nationalists, Japanese helmets and even US helmets captured from ROK and US forces in their retreat from Seoul. The North Korean basic uniform was similar in color as the US and ROK issued uniforms but as the dyes varied in quality they faded to a yellowish color after field use. I depicted several shades of uniform to represent those new recruits, captures and older uniforms the North Korean wore. Ill post my Chosin Collection and aircraft later and some winter rice patties soon.
