Across a Deadly Field/Johnny Reb/Fire and Fury/15mm/AWI/ACW Wooden fences

Well I looked at my old fences and said"UGGH" so I made up a new batch for my ACW and AWI games. When working with wood I tend to stay away from paint and try stains for a more natural look from a dark brown to a whitish grey. Alot of the fences you see back East in parks are real grey but I tend to think that a working farm would replace the worn timbers fairly regularly since the wood rotted faster back then from a  lack of preservative finishes we have today.I also tend to clutter up terrain pieces for a more authentic look. Each fence 6 inches long/15 cm and made almost entirely of wood except the ground rocks/bushes lying about.I also tend to use more supports and glue than most people for gamer resistant strength. Enjoy

Rice Paddy Project for Bolt Action/Blitzkrieg Commander /WW2/Vietnam war games

Well I finally attempted to make my long awaited rice paddy mega project. I decided on using aerial photographs of Okinawa in WW 2. The whole filed  measures 3 ft by 2 feet divide into 7 interlocking sectors and has several wet spots and a irrigation ditch crossing the middle of the piece dividing the fields into two large sectors which doubles as a handy anti vehicle obstacle. I used 4 mm to 6 mm static grass and several types of ground foam and of course my special earth blend for the berms. The berms are made of epoxy resin which is extremely durable but hard to work with. I included some of my Korean war tanks to give the viewer scale of the finished piece.

28mm Normandy Ruined farmhouse Bolt Action WW2

I decided  to help my friend do up his ruined farmhouse from Warlord games. The kit is easy to build and fairly sturdy once its put together. We mounted it on a base and added the stone wall kit form Warlord with some minor shrubs and strewn rocks crumbled off the wall. Overall its a good buy and can be spruced up to make a nice terrain piece for your wargames. We spent about a day making this and plan to get the other kit Warlord offers to add to his growing and battered village.
